How to enter - Competitors aged 5 -11

The Abergavenny Eisteddfod is open to any competitors, wherever they live, if they want to compete in either Welsh or English, and if they are individuals or part of a school, club or other organisation. Read more

How to enter - Competitors aged 11-18

Anyone aged 11-18 is welcome to enter. You don't have to live locally and you can compete in either Welsh or English. Read more

How to enter - Competitors 15+

The Abergavenny Eisteddfod is open to any competitors, wherever they live. Vocal performances may be in Welsh, English or the song's original language, for all except the Welsh Solo competition. Read more

Visiting the Abergavenny Eisteddfod

Visitors are welcome, to support performers and applaud the talent on show! We hold the events in Welsh and English so that everyone can understand and enjoy them. Read more

History

Between 1834 and 1853, ten eisteddfodau were held in Abergavenny, organised by Cymreigyddion Y Fenni, the Welsh language society which still meets today. Read more about the Eisteddfod's History
