2019 Eisteddfod Dates

The Abergavenny Eisteddfod for children and Young People will be held on Saturday, March 30th at King Henry VIII School, Abergavenny from 9:00 a.m.

The Abergavenny Eisteddfod for Adults will be held on Saturday, June 29th from 7:00 p.m. at The Methodist Church, Castle Street, Abergavenny from 7:00 p.m. Prelims will be at the same venue from 11:00 a.m.

Entries welcomed for Children’s competition

ABERGAVENNY EISTEDDFOD SATURDAY MARCH 30th 2019

The Abergavenny Eisteddfod is open to any competitors, wherever they live, whether they want to compete in Welsh or English, as individuals, a school, other organisation.

Competitions

Competitions include music (singing and instrumental), folk and disco dancing and recitation as individuals or a group. A complete list can be seen on the entry form (see “How to Enter” .)

Dates and times

  • Closing date for entries: 12th March 2019
  • Preliminary competitions (if there are more than 3 entries) are held prior to the eisteddfod.
  • On-stage finals: from 9a.m. onwards, Saturday 30th March 2019
